Yoshitoshi: Tsūzoku saiyūki (A Modern Journey to the West)

Tsūzoku saiyūki, en Modern "Journey to the West", är en serie tryck skapade av Tsukioka Yoshitoshi 1864-1865. Den är inspirerad av en av den kinesiska litteraturens stora klassiker, på engelska vanligen kallad Journey to the West, även om den mest kända översättningen är "Monkey" av Arthur Riley. Men det är en förkortad version av originalromanen. Boken, som är från 1500-talet och tillskrivs Wu Cheng'en, handlar om en kinesisk buddhistmunk på pilgrimsfärd till Indien.
